Brazilian Model Mariana Bridi da Costa Dies After Urinary Infection

Brazilian model and beauty queen contestant Mariana Bridi da Costa has died from a urinary infection that developed back in December last year. Her death occured on Saturday morning, January 24, 2009., it was reported. Just last week she got her feet and hands amputated, while the first signs of illness showed up in the first days of December 2008.
20 year-old model had recently been a finalist in the Brazilian stage of the Miss World beauty pageant. She also participated in the 2007 Miss Bikini International contest.
