Britney Spears ‘Extremely Upset’ Over Australia Fiasco

Due to her lip-synching, angry fans stormed out of Britney Spears‘ latest concert in Perth, Australia, demanding their money back. “Spears mimed most of her songs on stage, singing only on ballads. The lack of big screens – masking Spears’ miming and taking the focus away from her rigid performance – left many in the cheap seats fuming. Fans complained that the US pop star spent large portions of the in-the-round show with her back to them.”, reports The Sunday Telegraph. “Britney is extremely upset over the backlash, because she’s a human being,” her promoter admitted.
“I want my money back or I want her to sing properly. The ticket cost me $200 and she lip-synched the whole thing. It’s cost me half a week’s wage and you’ve got bills to pay, but you look forward to this concert, it’s a night out – and what do you get? Nothing! It was a waste of $200 – I could have got four pairs of shoes for that,” one fan told the press.
Another one added: “It was so impersonal. She did not interact with her audience. There were no big TV screens projecting the action, so if you didn’t know Britney, you might have even doubted it was her.”
“We were led to believe the lip-syncing was necessary because her dancing was so good, so rigorous, she couldn’t possibly sing. But her moves were sloppy and stiff, as well as out of time,” one entertainment writer stated.
