Aspiring young actress Samantha Burke, 24, has been revealed as mother-to-be of Jude Law‘s child! The 24-year-old brunette from Florida had a brief affair with Law last Christmas during the making of Guy Ritchie’s new movie, Sherlock Holmes. She is expecting a girl on October 6 and will call her Sophia. Her lawyers issued a statement: “Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall. Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy.” Law’s rep said: “I can confirm that following a relationship last year, Jude Law has been advised by the birth mother he is to be the father of a child due in the autumn. He is no longer in a relationship with her but intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life.” Sadie, mother of Jude’s three kids made a brief comment: “It’s not my problem. Jude Law‘s performance of a Shakespearean tragedy left the audience screaming and trying to get his autograph outside London’s Wyndham Theatre on Tuesday, July 14. One theatergoer said: “I was screaming because it was wicked. And I don’t even fancy Jude Law. I’ve been to two plays before but I fell asleep in them. This one was different because you could really relate to Jude Law being so angry and crazy. It’s changed my mind about theater.” Law commented: “They were a fantastic audience. Tonight was a wonderful and important night. Creating the next generation of theatregoers is vital to keep the work we do alive.”
