Acting as a possible spoiler, Kim Cattrall showed up on the set of Sex and the City 2 in New York City yesterday clad in a wedding dress. Is Samantha Jones really tieing the knot in the famous movie sequel?  “Yes, Jason is back! Smith has become a famous movie star, so we’ll see how that plays out and how that affects their relationship.” an insider told the press.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her gal pals are going retro for a flashback scene of their 1980’s start in New York. Carrie wearing a Madonna-inspired costume, Samantha as a punk pricess, Charlotte preppy good girl look and Miranda as a nerdy law student – this homage to the 80’s number looks super fun!

We finally get to see Carrie and her gal pals together on the set of Sex And The City sequel. Fresh off of a relaxing Labor Day weekend, the gals greeted one another with hugs before getting ready for the day’s shoot.

Reports say that heavy security has been hired to protect the cast due to crowds of fans gathering on the streets for a glimpse of their idols. “People were screaming and trying to push past guards. The fans were just too much. Security looked legitimately concerned for her safety.” a source told the New York Daily News. Although the Sex And The City sequel isn’t due out in cinemas until next spring, “it is believed Carrie’s marriage to Mr Big will predictably run into trouble, including the mogul suffering into financial problems as a result of the current economic crisis. It has been rumoured the couple may have a baby together after several stars, including Katie Price and Victoria Beckham reportedly auditioned for the role of an English nanny.” the Daily Mail reports.

Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick show off their twin girls for first time! Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge are just a week old and were born by a surrogate mother, Michelle Ross. “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters. Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.’, couple’s rep told the press.

Sex And The City stars Sarah Jessica Parker, 43, Kim Cattrall, 52, Cynthia Nixon, 42, and Kristin Davis, 43, all confirmed their appearance in the sequel to Sex and the City: The Movie. “Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board. It just happened.”, reports Us Weekly.

Back in September, the leading actress Sarah Jessica Parker told Us magazine: “It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won’t do it. We’ve been really lucky at this point. We’ve been in people’s good graces for a long time, and we take that very seriously. So that’s the biggest challenge, the story.”

Taking over Radio City Music Hall, the stars of Sex and the City hit the pink carpet on Tuesday evening for the New York City premiere of their much-anticipated movie.

Wearing a shiny strapless silver Nina Ricci gown, Sarah Jessica Parker joined fellow co-stars Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall in greeting fans and press – who lined up in the early morning hours to see the SATC stars in action.
Following the screening, the gang headed over to the Museum of Modern Art for a posh after party in which “Swarovski provided over a half a million dollars worth of sparkling decor, including 10,000 crystals for the pink carpet and more than 500 crystal heart ornaments to adorn the trees in the garden at MOMA.”
“We can’t remember the last time a movie has created so much anticipation among female moviegoers from their 20s through their 40s,” said Harry Medved, a spokesman for Fandango.
“Sex and the City: The Movie” makes its way into theaters on May 30, 2008.

Apparently SJP and Cattrall read the reports of their cattiness at the UK premiere, because last night they were all smiles with each other, even holding hands at one point.

And if the response at the CineStar theater is any indication of how the rest of the world will respond to the new movie, it looks like we’ll have an uber-successful opening weekend here in the States in two weeks (the film opens May 30th, if you haven’t been keeping up).
