On taking a role on Mad Men: “By that point I had been in four different series and done a lot of guest-star spots on things and none of them went as I thought they were going to. So I did the thing that I wanted to do. I’m glad that I didn’t let people bully me into something that would have been about a larger network or more money. I just kind of trusted my gut.”

On remaining true to herself: “I’m really trying to remain true to myself. But on occasion, my stylist will go, ‘Absolutely not. You will get killed.’ I always go back to the stuff I love. Hopefully, people will see who I am and accept it.”

On the new Mad Men season: “The way we left the end of season three really blew the doors open for change and for anything to happen. o it feels new in so many different ways. It sort of feels like the beginning again.”
