The 23-year-old Premiership star fell in love with Alyona Haynes, 25, wife of wealthy businessman John Haynes, 50. The two were spotted leaving the posh Piccolino restaurant in Bramhall, Cheshire, together only last weekend.

They were very coyly written. There were things like ‘Do you miss me baby? I miss you’. I just assumed she was playing around with a waiter who had just arrived from Portugal.
