Portugal and Manchester United football star, Cristiano Ronaldo has dumped his Spanish model fiancee Nereida Gallardo, according to the Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas. Allegedly, Ronaldo broke it all off last week and the main reason behind the split was a “secret of the gods”, but it is rumours surrounding Nereida’s past that may be to blame.

- Just last week it was reported that she once dated Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, a possible future teammate of Ronaldo in the Madrid giant club. Another reason for breakup was also mentioned, apparently Nereida did not see eye-to-eye with Ronaldo’s mother who thought the Spanish beauty was dating Ronaldo just for the money.

After the split Nereida flew away to Ibiza with her friend, while Ronaldo is recovering from operation that is set to keep him out of action for 12 weeks.
