Danielle Lloyd Was A Victim Of Abuse

Just like pop star Rihanna, Danielle Lloyd was also beaten by her ex boyfriend who locked her in a torturous relationship for two years. The 25-year old former Miss Great Britain decided to speak out after seeing Rihanna’s battered face in the newspapers. Danielle told the press: “It saddens me to read about violent relationships. I’d advise any woman not to return to an abusive partner. He’d call me a slag. Soon he started hitting me. Every time, he’d cry and say it wouldn’t happen again. Towards the end he was hitting me near enough every day.”
After the final attack, Danielle woke up with “blood all over me, all over the bed, all over the walls. I’d been out cold for three or four minutes” and spent a week in the hospital.
She concluded: “Deep down you can’t forget what’s happened no matter how much counselling you have. You blame yourself and tell yourself you deserve it. I was given help when I most needed it and I want to be able to help others now. Too many women suffer domestic violence at some time and support centres aren’t able to answer all of the calls due to being under-resourced.”
The abuse happened before Danielle returned to modelling and won Miss Great Britain. She has declined to name her violent ex boyfriend.
