Charlie Finch, the art critic, accused Kate Winslet´s new movie “The Reader” of trivializing the Holocaust. “I think this is a dishonest, manipulative film”, said Finch for Page Six.

The movie is all about Nazi concentration camp guard (played by Kate) accused of incinerating 300 Jews. But it seems that the critics have a problem with some full-frontal sex scenes and Kate´s naked body. “What is especially repellent is the use of Kate Winslet’s nubile body to create sympathy for a repellent character, whose triumph over illiteracy somehow mitigates unspeakable crimes which are never actually depicted on-screen.”, ads Finch. The Reader hits the theatres on January 9th.
