Michael Douglas started chemo for throat cancer

Michael Douglas spoke about his throat cancer battle for the first time in public last night on David Letterman’s Late Show – and says he’s convinced he can beat it.The Hollywood veteran, 65, announced a fortnight ago that he was to undergo chemotherapy and radiation for a tumour in his throat.

But talking on the chat show last night, he revealed that he had already started his treatment and that his odds of recovery were high. However, he added, ‘It hurts, it comes and goes in waves. It knocks you out really hard.’
