Miley says sorry for topless pics
Teen star Miley Cyrus has apologised to her fans for posing topless in a magazine shoot.
The 15-year-old, who stars in hit US show Hannah Montana, only had a satin bedsheet to cover her modesty while taking part in a provocative shoot for US title Vanity Fair.
The pictures have caused outrage in the States and the actress, who will reportedly be worth a predicted £500million by the end of this year, hopes her apology can preserve her squeaky-clean image.
Miley said: “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.
“I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
Her comments may have appeased her critics, but they have not gone down well with the magazine that published them.
A spokesperson said: “Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day.
“Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.”

Hey Miley Cyrus this is not that big of a deal becuse your true fan’s still respect you and love your work.. Your still a positive role model and i must add that “Miley Cyrus” you are still only 15 and it takes a while to make the right decisions in life, but we all have that battle to tow… I am in your corner 110% and a true loyal fan!!! P.S. Your Apology should be enough and Respected by all the critics, naysayers, etc.. Disney should be proud to have you on there show as you have no reason to feel abashed over one incident that was not a stunt or sensationll exploit… Your going to come out on top as you have a real talant to reach out to teens and be upfront in your faults by being responsible.. We applaud you for that and hope that this will not cause any more rifts in your true profession and future goals!!!
