Miranda Kerr has shown what it takes to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel, stripping off for a bold nude shoot in Rolling Stone. The Australian model decided to go “au naturel” to raise awareness about the environment and specifically the plight of the koala – Australian Associated Press reports.

Kerr, who is the face of the Australian Koala Foundation’s ‘No Tree, No Me’ campaign, was chained to a tree during the day-long shoot, high-lighting the need to protect koalas’ natural habitat.

“It’s a sad thing – there are only about 100,000 koalas left in Australia,” Kerr tells the magazine.

“Something like 80 per cent of the koalas’ habitat has been destroyed since Europeans arrived in Australia.”

Kerr will appear on the cover of Rolling Stone’s inaugral green issue, which hits shelves on Wednesday, along which will also feature fellow environmental crusaders Ruby Rose, Xavier Rudd and John Butler.

“I believe every effort we make now has a reaction – if we’re making positive changes, if we’re all doing the simple, small things we can do to help the environment, it makes a big difference,” said Kerr, who tries to eat only organic food.

She joins a long list of celebrities who have stripped off for the magazine, including Britney Spears, Jennifer Aniston and Lady Gaga.

Shrugging off her clothes again Kerr also is set pose nude for Marc Jacob’s ‘Protect The Skin You’re In’ skin cancer awareness campaign, joining the likes of Eva Mendes, Heidi Klum, Dita Von Teese, Victoria Beckham and Naomi Campbell.

“The great thing about having people recognise you is you can try to make a positive difference – that’s what I’m trying to do, especially for young women,” Kerr said.
