Oscar Winners List 2010

The tough soldiers trumped the blue aliens at the Oscars, as war drama ‘The Hurt Locker’ took home six trophies, including Best Picture, Best Director for Kathryn Bigelow, and Best Original Screenplay. The Best Director win made Bigelow the first woman to achieve this honour. Read on for the full list of winners for the 2010 Oscar, held in Hollywood on 7 March.
The Best Picture category included 10 movies this year, and ‘The Hurt Locker’ won over films including the blockbuster ‘Avatar’ directed by Bigelow’s ex-husband James Cameron. ‘Avatar’ didn’t do too badly at the Oscars, it won three awards – for Art Direction, Cinematography, and Visual Effects.
There were no surprises in the acting category wins at the Oscars this year; the winners had been collecting trophies at the Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA awards – Masala.com reports.
