Rod Blagojevich Arrested On Corruption Charges

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich has been arrested on corruption charges after her tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by fresh elected President Barack Obama in exchange for financial benefits for him and his wife. He is also accused of obtaining campaign contributions in exchange for other official actions.
Blagojevich was taken into federal custody at his North Side home this morning, just one day before his 52nd birthday. Blagojevich’s chief of staff, John Harris, was also arrested and charged with participating in the scheme.
