FASHION has come at a price for SARAH JESSICA PARKER, but not just from spending the pennies.

The quirky actress says she has ruined her tootsies by tottering around in ridiculous shoes.

She said: “I’m pretty accustomed to it now. I mean I’ve basically just destroyed my feet. So they feel nothing. I have no feeling in my feet. It’s cool.

“I was a dancer for so many years and dancers just ruin their feet. So I think I was already so far along in the process of having trashed my feet.”

But with six series of Sex And The City under her belt and a movie on the way, things are pretty rosy for the Golden Globe winner.

Chatting about the upcoming film, she said: “This is just a beautiful, magnificent screenplay that talks about women at the precipice of this certain point in their life.

“So, I’m just grateful that we were able to cobble it together. It’s been the last two years of my life. So, to get to this point where we are actually talking about it today is, really, nothing short of miraculous.”

While life usually imitates art for fashion queen Sarah, the unconventional star chose to get married to actor hubby MATTHEW BRODERICK in black.

Sarah said: “As an actor, a lot of attention is paid to you and for some reason I was under the impression that that day I should really not bring attention to myself, and my husband kind of had the same attitude about it.

“I think we were embarrassed to be a traditional bride and groom. I think we wanted to really throw a party and deflect attention off of us.

“I think we felt, ‘Oh we have plenty of attention in our work lives’. So we did as much as we could to diminish the conventional ideas.”

While girls across the globe get ready to tuck into their popcorn later this month, Sarah reckons guys will be queuing up to see the movie too.

She said: “From what I have gleaned, it’s something they can do with a girlfriend or a wife.

“It’s something that they feigned that they didn’t like at first. They were pulled kicking and screaming to the television on Sunday nights reluctantly, some less so, but I kind of get the impression from those that are willing to talk about it, that it’s something they do with a woman in their life, for straight men.”

But there’s one scene she won’t be impressing the men in, after deciding to shoot some of the movie without make-up to remain loyal to director MICHAEL PATRICK KING.

Sarah said: “I had to beg Judy, who’s my makeup lady, to not put anything on me for all of Mexico. I was like, ‘Please don’t put any’.

“She’s like, ‘You need a little bit under your eyes’. I was like, ‘I don’t want anything under my eyes. I don’t want anything. I don’t want lip gloss. I don’t want chap stick’.

“Because, to do anything to diminish the incredible bleak and grizzly place she finds herself in is a once in a lifetime role he wrote, in the screenplay, for me.

“I didn’t want to do anything but exactly as Michael saw it. And it honestly didn’t occur to me to wear makeup for that stuff.”

And boys won’t be seeing her strip off like sexy co-star KIM CATTRALL.

She said:”I’ve got a no nudity clause. What can I tell you? It’s been there since I was eight.”

But the movie Sarah says has “died a hundred deaths” is finally here after a four year lull.

“It’s like a dream. It’s beyond words. It’s a real privilege, definitely, to have had this opportunity. This just doesn’t happen usually.”

Sarah added: “It’s just wonderful. It’s very nice. It’s hard to describe.

“It’s very odd to have done something that people have been part of, all of us, have been part of something that is that meaningful to a person.”

Sex And The City: The Movie is released on May 28
