Chris Brown began serving 180 days of community labor at a Virginia police-horse stable for beating up his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.  NY Daily News reports: “Check out my outfit,” Brown said in an afternoon Internet ‘tweet’ that included a picture of himself in his work duds. The California judge who sentenced Brown in August granted his request to do his community labor near his home in Richmond after receiving assurances from Virginia officials that hed’ be doing hard work. Richmond Police spokesman Gene Lepley said Brown’s schedule will be flexible and include assignments like washing government cars, picking up trash and cleaning up graffiti. “We’ll just take a look at it day by day and certainly would ask for the cooperation of the public and Chris’ fans so that he is able to satisfy the work requirements.” While Brown’s work hours were supposed to be secret, he clued the paparazzi in to his whereabouts Wednesday through his missives on Twitter. “On my way to community service….” he tweeted en route to the Richmond Police stable. » Read more

Rihanna and her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown have sparked rumours they have rekindled their romance. The pair – who are barred from contacting each other after Chris pleaded guilty to felony assault last month following his altercation with Rihanna last February – both reportedly stayed at Manhattan’s Trump International Hotel and Tower over the weekend. Five months after the incident, Chris Brown finally made a public apology to Rihanna via a video statement posted to his official Web site. Apparently, his attorney advised him against speaking about the whole thing despite his deepest wishes to do so. He said: ” Since February my attorney has advised me not to speak out even though ever since the incident I wanted to publicly express my deepest regret and accept full responsibility, I felt it was time [that] you hear directly from me that I am sorry. I cannot go into what happened, and most importantly am not going to sit here and make any excuses. I take great pride in me being able to exercise self control, and what I did was inexcusable. I am very saddened and very ashamed of what I have done. My mother and my spiritual teachers have taught me way better than that. I have told Rihanna countless times, and I am telling you today, that I am truly sorry and that I wasn’t able to handle the situation both differently and better. As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence and I saw firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do. What I did was unacceptable 100 percent.
