The Classical BRIT Awards 2008 on Thursday 8th May was a star-studded event. Now in its 9th year the gala evening, was hosted by Myleene Klass at the Royal Albert Hall. Seven prestigious trophies were awarded and the audience entertained by a galaxy of leading international artists with some of the finest classical newcomers taking to the Classical BRIT Awards stage for the first time.
For year after year former Hear’Say star MYLEENE manages to steal the show.
And this year was no exception, with the beauty drawing the biggest cheer of the night as she walked down the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall in an eye-popping yellow ball gown.
Just moments later Myleene - who was hosting the event - returned to meet her fans in a sleek red hot number.
But it didn’t all go to plan, with the star having trouble walking due to so much material.
The glittering ceremony played host to some of the biggest selling artists in the classical music world, including tenor Andrea Bocelli and pianist Josh Groban
Blake, the ex-choirboys who formed on social networking site Facebook, scooped one of the biggest prizes at yesterday’s event.

Blake follow in the footsteps of SIR PAUL McCARTNEY, who won the award last year, as well as ANDREA BOCELLI, BRYN TERFEL and KATHERINE JENKINS.
ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER picked up an Outstanding Achievement award.
